Would Barry Goldwater be considered a RINO today?

It seems as though libertarians have been purged from the Republican party except for a few like Ron Paul, Jeff Flake and Dana Rhorabacher but they don't have much power and influence. Would Barry Goldwater be considered too liberal in today's age even though if it wasn't for his ideology Ronald Reagan probably never would have become President?
