I went for an ultrasound today?

I had all the pain/vomiting symtoms of gall stones and two doctors outside the hospital thought it probably was gall stones very severe the pain would shift around mainly around/under my right rib out my shoulder blade the ultra sound showed no stones that could be seen.is is possible to have that much pain without gall stones .
