Where do I stand with this guy or whats going on?

okay so there's this guy who i first kissed a few years ago. about four years ago when we were out in clubs etc it became more regular. last year it became even more regular and then i started going back to his place where i stayed the night, but that's as far as it would go as i was leaving the country for a year and didn't want to get too attached. while i was away he got with several of my friends which annoyed me at the time, but i have gotten over that now!! iv since returned from my year in france. i am good friends with this guy that id been kissing, but i haven't kissed him since i left for france. recently however he has been making fun of the small things i say or pronounce and hes poked my sides on a number of occasions as he knows im very ticklish here!! i know he poked my friend in her sides when she was stood beside me to see what her reaction would be too. im not sure where i stand or what if any of these signals mean anything and im so confused. can anyone offer any advice??
