Military draft? immunity if in college?

so im just very curious about how the conscription process works. i know that no one should REALLY be worried since there isnt any major war that is happening, unless like WWIII breaks out or someting. as for the drafting, is there like some sort of waiver or immunity granted for college students? i mean it would make sense, since college students who are aiming for a degree would be the ones who will hold high jobs and actually are going to be DOING something for the country as opposed to those who are high school drop outs or those who dont attend college. simply put, shouldnt the lazy, andpossiblyughidontwannasaythisbutdumbpe… be taken to the army IF it is needed instead of the people seeking higher education in outstanding universities? so yeah....iono what im asking anymore. right. immunities for male students who will one day serve as a useful citizen. i.e. future doctors, leaders, lawyers, business people, something along those lines......guns are stupid. fighting is awful, those in congress who want war should go to war themselves or send their on family...war is phail
