Again you have to consider the time or the writing. Think about it. Parts of the realm where Christianity were founded later became the heart of the Muslim world. Where women were thought of a property. You notice it doesn't say anything about a divorced man. Probably influenced by the beginnings or the Muslim faith? Wouldn't' apply in today's world.
