Why do they have some of the Coalition bowl games scheduled ahead of some of the BCS bowl games?

iguess cause there not as big? They have these games every year on basically the same date,its kinda like for conference pride. like capital one bowl, and outback bowl are the big ten vs. the sec. Cotton bowl is the big 12 vs. sec. Gator bowl is ACC vs. Big East, Gmac is sun belt champs vs. MAC champs. CHamps bowl is big ten vs. acc. and theirs more
