What happens in the 4th stage of ovarian cancer How long is life expectancy in this final stage?

My best friend is in stage 4 of ovarian cancer. She has hospice at her house. It seems to me, that she only has a few weeks left to live. Can she continue to live for 3 or 4 more months? Or does it depend of the individual person? Her cancer has spread to many of her organs.
