Re-spraying a guitar?

It's a cryin' shame to ruin a good finish and it will destroy resale value....but if you must do it: You can spray over the gloss finish, but it would be a good idea to scuff the gloss with very fine grit sandpaper. Perhaps 320-400 grit or so.
