Contractor did not use adhesive when putting up drywall on ceiling. Should i add more screws to make up for.?

You do not need to use glue/ adhesive on sheet rock / dry wall. You need to have 1 screw with in 2 inches of each side and 7 in the field ( for ceilings) on each screw line on the bottom of each truss. This is what the national code is. No Glue is needed as long as you have the right number of screws.
